WooCommerce development services

WooCommerce development for people who want to own their store outright.

We build, fix, and look after WooCommerce stores — hosting sorted, plugins kept lean, speed tested on real phones. No monthly platform fee, no percentage of your sales, and nothing locked to us.

Everything runs on your hosting, in your accounts, under your control. That's the whole point of WooCommerce.

Three reasons people come to us.

“I want a store I actually own.”

No monthly platform fee, no cut of your sales, no rules about what you can sell or how the checkout works. We set the whole thing up properly so that freedom doesn't turn into a maintenance problem.

“My WooCommerce site is slow or keeps breaking.”

Usually too many plugins, cheap hosting, or an update that broke something nobody noticed. We find the actual cause instead of installing another plugin on top.

“I'm leaving Shopify.”

Growing stores hit a point where platform fees and transaction cuts stop making sense. We move your products, customers, and orders across and redirect your old pages so your Google rankings survive.

WooCommerce is free. That's the most expensive thing about it.

The software costs nothing. That's true, and it's why people choose it. But free software still has to run somewhere, and everything Shopify quietly handles for you becomes your job instead.

Hosting is your decision now, and the cheap option is what makes most WooCommerce stores slow. Security updates are your responsibility. When a plugin update breaks the checkout at eleven at night, nobody is on the other end of a chat window.

That's not an argument against WooCommerce. Done properly it's faster, cheaper to run at scale, and you're not renting your own business. But "done properly" is doing real work in that sentence, and the difference between a WooCommerce store that runs for five years and one that falls over in six months is entirely in how it was set up.

We set them up to last. Good hosting, few plugins, updates tested before they go live, and backups you'll never need until the day you do.

What you get.

  • A complete store — products, collections, cart, and checkout, built and tested
  • Hosting chosen and configured properly, not the cheapest box we could find
  • Product pages written to sell, not descriptions copied from your supplier
  • Product photos and videos, made by us — clean backgrounds, lifestyle shots, ad-ready video
  • As few plugins as possible, each one chosen for a reason
  • Payments set up and tested with a real order before launch
  • Delivery, tax, and returns configured with your actual rates
  • Speed work — caching, image compression, database cleanup, tested on real phones
  • Security hardened and automatic backups running
  • Google basics — page titles, descriptions, structure, sitemap
  • Ad accounts connected so you can start selling from day one
  • A walkthrough video showing how to run your own store
  • Thirty days of support after launch

The questions everyone asks us about WooCommerce.

“Which hosting should I use?”

This decides how fast your store is, and it's where most people get it wrong to save a few dollars a month. Shared hosting is why so many WooCommerce stores take six seconds to load. We'll recommend hosting that fits your traffic and your budget, and set it up for you. You pay the host directly — we don't mark it up.

“Will updates break my site?”

They can, and this is the honest downside of WooCommerce. It's why we keep the plugin count low, use a staging site to test updates before they touch your live store, and run automatic backups. Most “WooCommerce is unreliable” stories are really “nobody was testing updates” stories.

“How many plugins is too many?”

Every plugin is code someone else wrote running on your store. Twenty plugins means twenty things that can break and twenty developers you're trusting. We build with as few as the job genuinely needs.

“Why is my WooCommerce store slow?”

Usually hosting, uncompressed images, and a bloated database — in that order. It's rarely WooCommerce itself. We fix the actual cause and test on a real phone on mobile data, not on a desktop with fast internet.

“What will it cost me monthly?”

Hosting, your domain, and any paid plugins or extensions. No platform fee and no cut of your sales, which is why the numbers get better as you grow. We'll map out your real monthly running cost before you commit.

You don't need a photographer.

This is where most new stores stall. The store is half-built and you're stuck because you don't have decent photos — and a photoshoot costs more than the store did.

We make them. Product shots on clean backgrounds, lifestyle images, videos for your product pages and your ads. Send us your product details and a few reference photos and we handle the rest.

It's part of the build, not a separate invoice. And once you're running ads, we can keep producing new ones weekly so your ads don't go stale.

How it works.

  1. 1

    Week 1Planning

One call covering your products, your customers, and what the store needs to do. We recommend hosting, then give you a fixed price, a launch date, and your real monthly running costs before you pay anything.

  2. 2

    Week 2Build

Hosting set up and the store built, while your photos and videos are produced in parallel. You get a live link and can watch it come together.

  3. 3

    Week 3Your review

You go through it and tell us what to change. We make the changes, then place a real test order end to end — payment, confirmation email, delivery — before anything goes public.

  4. 4

    Week 4Launch

The store goes live on your domain, with backups and security running from day one. You get a walkthrough video and thirty days of support.

Large catalogues and migrations take longer. We'll say so at the planning stage rather than promise four weeks and miss it.

Your side is small.

Store builds drag on for months when the client gets stuck supplying things. So here's the whole list:

  • Your product list with prices
  • Any photos you already have, phone ones are fine
  • Your logo, if you have one — we'll sort it if you don't
  • Your business details for the delivery and returns pages
  • An hour on the planning call, an hour to review before launch

No product descriptions? We write them. No photos? We make them.

Someone has to keep the lights on.

Thirty days of support comes with every build. After that, WooCommerce needs something Shopify doesn't: someone to keep it updated. Plugin updates, WordPress updates, security patches, backups checked.

You have two honest options. Do it yourself — the walkthrough video covers it and it's straightforward if you're comfortable with WordPress. Or we look after it monthly: updates tested on staging before they go live, backups monitored, security patched, and someone to call when something breaks.

Either way, the store is yours. Your hosting, your domain, your accounts, nothing locked to us. If you leave, everything keeps working exactly as it did.

Should you be on WooCommerce at all?

Fair question, and we'll answer it honestly even when the honest answer costs us the bigger project.

WooCommerce suits you if you want full control over how the store works, you're selling something with unusual requirements, you already run WordPress, or you're at enough volume that platform fees and transaction cuts have started to hurt.

Shopify suits you better if this is your first store, you want to change things yourself without worrying about breaking them, or you'd rather pay a monthly fee than think about hosting and updates at all.

Most first-time store owners are better off on Shopify, and we'll tell you so rather than sell you the more complicated build.

Questions.

How much does a WooCommerce store cost to build?+

It depends on how many products you have and how much content needs making. We give you a fixed price before starting, so you know exactly what you're paying. Send us your details and you'll have a number within 24 hours.

How long does it take to build a WooCommerce store?+

Three to four weeks for most stores, from the planning call to launch.

Is WooCommerce free?+

The software is. You still pay for hosting, your domain, and any paid extensions. For most small stores that works out cheaper than a platform subscription, and the gap widens as you grow because nobody takes a cut of your sales.

Do I need a developer for WooCommerce?+

To set it up properly, usually yes — hosting, security, speed, and payments are where DIY builds go wrong. To run it day to day afterwards, no. We build so you can add products and change prices yourself.

Do I own everything?+

Yes, completely. Your hosting, your domain, your accounts, your data. Nothing depends on us being around.

How do I migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce?+

We move your products, customers, and past orders across, then redirect your old page addresses to the new ones so you keep your search rankings. Done properly, nobody notices except that your running costs drop.

Will my site break when things update?+

Not if updates are tested before they go live. That's what a staging site is for, and it's included in our monthly care option.

How many plugins will my store need?+

Fewer than most stores have. We use what the job genuinely needs and nothing more.

Do you work with new businesses?+

Yes. A lot of what we build is someone's first store.

Tell us what you're selling.

Send your product details and where you're at right now. Within 24 hours you'll get a plan, a launch date, and a fixed price. No long sales call.
